Behind each product that we offer, there is a back story of hard work and dedication that has driven the product to where it is today. Whether it be chocolate, candles or notebooks, everything that we offer you has been researched to make sure that you are buying a truly amazing gift with all the values we love to support.
Being a female-founded business ourselves, we really love to support all the gals out there, and one of our favourite female-founded businesses is This Makes Scents candles based in Wicklow. The two amazing women behind this brand are Sinead and Tracey, and they have created such a unique business on the Irish candle scene with their strong vision – to develop a sustainable and eco-friendly home fragrance company.
All of their candle and wax melts are hand poured using soy wax. Soy wax comes from soybeans which are renewable, burn 50% longer than paraffin wax and hold a fragrance better – which we can vouch for a 100% as they smell amazing! Using recycled glass jars and recyclable aluminium lids, all of their products are then put into packaging which is fully recyclable and made from recycled materials.
To top it all off, each candle is completely unique as they have different names, accompanied by a quote to set the scene. So, as soon as your candle has been lit, you can sit back, relax, and nestle into the ambience that the candle has created for you.
Sometimes it’s more than just a candle you are lighting, it is another Irish business that has turned their dream into reality and are lighting the way for others to follow in their footsteps of following their passion.
